This body of work begins with objects discarded at the lowest end of exchange, items gathered from the ground at car boot sales, overlooked, unwanted, and stripped of value.
Each object is meticulously replicated in hand-carved limewood, preserving every dent, fold, fracture, and mark. Even the display table is reproduced, mirroring the original arrangement in its entirety.
Through this process, the work interrogates how value is constructed and reassigned. What was once negligible is re-presented through time, labour, and craftsmanship, shifting from the economics of disposal to the language of sculpture.
Authenticity, worth, and authorship collapse into one another: the copy becomes the artefact, and the overlooked is held in sustained attention.
